Dozens of leading experts, diplomats, and analysts from Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and the Czech Republic participated in the event. The forum focused on good neighbourly relations in Central Europe and the prospects for Ukraine’s European integration.
The meeting took place at a crucial moment for Ukraine, when political changes in Hungary may open a window of opportunity to restore consensus within the European Union and accelerate the enlargement process. At the same time, participants emphasized that Eurosceptic and anti-Ukrainian narratives remain powerful tools of populist mobilization.
During the panel discussions, participants analyzed the challenges facing the region and explored practical ways to transform the cautious skepticism of Ukraine’s neighbours into active support for its European integration. The forum also addressed shared security challenges and stressed the need to develop a common vision for protecting a united Europe against the Russian threat.
