The central theme of the conference is the various practices of accommodation, resilience, and adaptation. The organizers are primarily interested in how, under the various political systems of the 20th century—during the interwar period, during World War II, during the period of the Hungarian Autonomous Province, and during the Ceaușescu era—the Hungarian community in Transylvania adapted to the changing political and social environment.
