We invite papers that touch upon the dilemmas and use of big data. Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome. We encourage scholars to submit an abstract of 600-800 words including a short bio and the description of the main question(s) and finding(s) of the paper together with the methodology applied (if relevant) by 30 March, 2016 through our online submission system. Authors will receive feedback from the editorial team by 14 April, 2016. The deadline for submitting the final papers is 21 August , 2016.

A Magyar ENSZ Társaság "A kisebbségek jövője a globalizálódó világban" című konferencia sorozata keretében 2016. február 10-én intézetünk munkatársa, Bárdi Nándor is előadást tartott " A budapesti kormányzatok és a külhoni magyarok" címmel.

Tizenöt év után, 2700 fő megkérdezésével újra készült reprezentatív Kárpát-medencei ifjúságszociológiai kutatás, amely a Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) és a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Társadalomtudományi Kutatóközpont Kisebbségkutató Intézet (MTA TK KI) együttműködésében született meg. A GeneZYs 2015 nevű kutatás első eredményeit 2016. január 28-án sajtótájékoztató keretében intézetünk vezetője Papp Z. Attila ismertette.​

2 napos nemzetközi nagyrendezvény a kárpát-medencei németség kiűzetésének 70. évfordulójára Pécsett, 2016. január 29-én. A konferencián előad intézetünk tudományos munkatársa, Marchut Réka.

A konferencián többek között előad intézetünk két tudományos főmunkatársa, Bányai Viktória és Turán Tamás.
