Between 16 and 18 June 2026, the Council for European Studies will hold its 32nd International Conference at University College Dublin. Csilla Zsigmond and Margit Feischmidt will participate in the event with their presentation entitled “Hope, Solidarity – Activism? Some Characteristics of the Public Engagement of the Tisza Islands from the Perspective of Transformative Solidarity.”

On May 21, 2026, the Institute for Minority Studies at the ELTE Research Center for Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Forum Institute in Somorja and the National Institute for Minority Studies in Cluj-Napoca, presented “Károly Tóth: The Ghost of Autonomy. Studies, Essays, Articles, Conversations 1982–2013” at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Research Center for the Humanities in Budapest. The recording of the book launch can be found here.

Our colleague, Béni L. Balogh, gave a lecture on the Day of National Cohesion on June 4, 2026, as part of the Public Affairs Café (Közéleti Kávéház) event series in Timișoara.
